About the Directors
IHUK currently has two directors, drawn from the membership:
Jon Beavan
An active member of Cave Rescue and owner of Dalesbridge (a complex of group accommodation, individual small bunkhouses and campsite). Jon is a master of diversification and has a strong belief in the benefits provided by networking information and lobbying as a group.
Carl Borum
Carl, a founder of Destination Snowdonia and owner of Snowdon Lodge (a well established historic group accommodation centre), has years of experience in marketing and the expertise required to ensure IHUK makes the most of its marketing potential.
James Powell
James Powell embarked on the new venture of Llandudno hostel after being inspired by travelling extensively in Britain, America, Australia and Asia. James set up the hostel with his wife Melissa in 2002. After renovating the building to a very high standard he focused on marketing, chiefly on the web, with a resultant substantial increase in business. James has a strong interest in the independent hostels community and hopes to see others develop their business through the help and support given by an established strong network.
IHUK is planning to appoint some additional directors in the near future.
The network is administrated by Sam Dalley the secretary of IHUK. |
